I adore Wisteria season. it’s one of the magical things about May in the British countryside, decorating quaint stone farmhouses and romantic gates and bringing a little extra magic to the already enchanting countryside.
Last May, Jon & I were in Bath capturing the awesome wedding of Pip & Laura at Wick Farm Bath. Even though I’m back living in Cornwall now, I love that I get to keep coming back to my University city and have a play at being a Bath wedding photographer - this city will always be a special place for me!
In the morning, I often capture the bride’s getting ready preparations but this time was a little different. This time, I got to hang out and capture the bridesmaids getting ready instead to let Laura have some space and privacy for the morning which made for a really awesome big reveal and the sweetest reactions ever from her father and bridesmaids when she came down the stairs.
I adored the wedding posies of mixed meadowflowers, looking so natural and romantic and the mismatched bridesmaids dresses in various shades of purple were really stylish too. I’m a sucker for mismatched bridesmaids dresses and loved the deviation from the usual classic styles.
It was such a relaxed family & friends centred celebration at Wick Farm which was a very pretty farm wedding venue on the outskirts of Bath. I loved the chilled out vibe of the day and capturing their day with a mix of relaxed natural documentary photography, some romantic stills and taking a far more fun and silly approach to the group photos (no forced smiles to be found here.)
Here are some highlights from their day.
